Pahalgam victim's wife accuses LIC of lying, says less than 10 lakh recieved instead of 1.7 crores

The grieving wife of Sameer Guha, a resident of Sakher Bazar who tragically lost his life in a Kashmir attack, has come forward with serious allegations against an LIC agent and has also raised troubling questions about the security situation during the fatal incident. Speaking from her home, she expressed distress and anger over recent events compounding her family's suffering.

Her primary complaint targets LIC agent Debashish Bagh. The family vehemently denies holding any LIC policy through the Sarashuna branch, contrary to what they claim Bagh has been propagating. They accuse the agent of spreading misinformation and falsehoods about their financial dealings with LIC, causing them additional pain during this difficult time.

Furthermore, there is a significant discrepancy regarding compensation. While LIC sources reportedly stated that Rs 1 crore 70 lakh was disbursed to the family within three days, Sameer Guha's wife asserts that they have received less than Rs 10 lakh so far. This stark difference has fueled the family's distrust and frustration.

Adding to their grievances, the family alleges that Debashish Bagh visited their residence and took photographs of their house without seeking or receiving any permission. Feeling violated and misrepresented, the family has declared their intention to pursue legal action against the agent for his alleged actions and the spread of false information.

Beyond the financial dispute, Sameer Guha's wife provided an explosive account of the attack itself. She stated unequivocally that there were no police or BSF personnel present at the scene during the incident, raising serious concerns about security arrangements. She recounted the horrifying detail that they were forced to recite the Kalma by the attackers.
